Next General Membership Meeting

Unfortunately due to the unprecedented weather we experienced,we were forced to cancel what was to be an exciting educational evening on October 29th. The guest speakers we had lined up for that one evening would have made for a spectacular night. Sadly mother nature had other plans for us. As soon as we can host this event again,we will post that news here. Thanks for your understanding.

The Clarkstown Taxpayers will be holding our next General Membership meeting on Monday, October 29th at 7PM in the main room of the New City library. We have a very exciting meeting planned and if you are interested in what is happening in Clarkstown, you should plan on attending and bringing all your friends and relatives:

- First, we will update our members on what the Town Board is up to (tax increases/patronage); and

- Second, we will have EJ McMahon, director of the Manhattan Institute, as a guest speaker. The Manhattan Institute is working to expose the causes of NYS fiscal problems, such as the Taylor Law, Triboro amendment and the unfunded pension liability.

- Third, we will have speakers from the schools, B. Burrell, Ex. Director of the Rockland County School Boards, and, hopefully, J. LeNave, Financial Director of the Clarkstown schools. They will speak on school taxes and the 2% tax cap.

Finally, we have invited all the members of the Clarkstown Town Board, NYS Senator D. Carlucci and NYS Assemblyman K. Zebrowski to attend this important meeting.

See you all on Monday, October 29th.
